Da Nang

Da Nang has one climbing gym on Climb Go Where: Danang Climbing Gym on Mai Am in Hai Chau district. It is a bouldering gym with custom-built walls, a balcony and 30cm foam floor mats.

The gym hires out gear, so you can turn up without your own climbing shoes. As with any bouldering gym, there is no need for a partner or harness, which makes it an easy option for travellers passing through the city.

Central Vietnam's rainy season usually runs from around September to December, with typhoons possible, so an indoor session is a useful plan for wet days. For outdoor limestone, Vietnam's main climbing areas are further north at Huu Lung and Cat Ba.
