Boulder Story opened in November 2024 on the first floor of Atria Shopping Gallery in Damansara Jaya, Petaling Jaya, above Village Grocer. It has around 500 sqm of Walltopia climbing wall up to 4.2m high, and tags each boulder with one of six movement styles such as power or balance, alongside its grade.
An all-day pass is RM39, with rental shoes (RM8), socks and chalk available. One-hour guided sessions for beginners, kids and families cost RM40 per person including equipment, and there are 90-minute advanced sessions for climbers aged 12 and up. There are also yoga sessions and some hangboard and weight training equipment.
The gym follows the mall's 10am to 10pm hours. Its 'climb as you are' approach makes it a friendly first stop for beginners and groups.
Weekend afternoons are busiest. First visit? Allow time for the safety briefing.
