Camp5 KL East is spread over two floors of KL East Mall, a short drive from the outdoor crags of Batu Caves. Level G3 has the Play Climb wall and gear shop, while the main hall (also reachable from carpark L1) has bouldering, 12m top-rope lines with TRUBLUE auto-belays and 15m lead climbing.
There are training walls and a functional fitness area, plus Camp5's Eat Well Café, hot showers and locker rooms. Rental gear is available, and first-timer courses run around 1.5 hours including an auto-belay safety orientation. There is also a 1-hour Play Climb session.
It suits families and new climbers using the auto-belays as well as lead climbers, and is a handy base for anyone also planning to climb outdoors at Batu Caves.
Weekend afternoons are busiest. First visit? Allow time for the safety briefing.
