Gua Damai Extreme Park sits behind the Batu Caves hill, about 20 minutes' drive from central Kuala Lumpur. Its limestone crag has more than 100 bolted sport routes graded roughly 5c to 7a+, making it one of the most accessible outdoor climbing areas for newcomers near KL. Basic amenities include toilets, a shower stall and lighting for night climbing.
The park sells a walk-in 'Rock Climbing @ top rope' package: three hours of guided climbing on several routes with all gear, refreshments and a qualified guide. It also runs SEACF sport climbing courses (levels 1–3), abseiling courses, caving tours and a zipline. Independent climbers pay a small permit fee to climb.
It suits beginners, families and visiting climbers wanting a first taste of Malaysian limestone; experienced climbers can use the permit to climb on their own.
