Climb Go Where

Bouldering Gyms

Climb Go Where lists 46 bouldering gyms across Southeast Asia, Hong Kong and Taiwan. Bouldering means climbing short walls above thick mats without ropes or a harness, so all you need is shoes and chalk, and you can climb alone or with friends. Most gyms hire shoes and run intro classes for first-timers.

Singapore and Hong Kong have the most choice, with gyms such as boulder+, Lighthouse Climbing, Climba and Z-Vertigo in Singapore and JUST CLIMB, n bouldering and Attic V in Hong Kong. Other cities with several bouldering gyms include Kuala Lumpur (BUMP Bouldering, Boulder Story, BHub), Bangkok (Stonegoat, Balance), Hanoi (Beefy Boulders, VietClimb), Jakarta (Dreamstone Boulders, Boulder Planet), Taipei (T-UP, CORNER) and Manila (The Bouldering Hive, Boulder Space, Boulder World).

Day passes start from S$18 at Z-Vertigo in Singapore, RM27 off-peak at Camp5 Utropolis in Shah Alam, ฿300 on weekdays at Stonegoat S69 in Bangkok and 160,000 VND at Hanoi Climbing Hub. Many gyms offer cheaper off-peak or student rates. Check whether shoe hire is included, and if you are new, take an intro session to learn how to fall and land safely.
