Project Rock Gurney Plaza opened in June 2022 on the 7th floor of Gurney Plaza, replacing Project Rock's earlier Tanjung Bungah gym. It has 350 sqm of bouldering and top-rope climbing surfaces, plus a Kilter Board, a peg board and a campus board.
There are shower rooms, lockers and a pro shop. Rental shoes, harnesses, belay devices and ropes are available, or a shoe-and-harness combo. Online early-bird day passes with gear are cheaper than walk-in, and a Beginner's Bundle (RM70) includes a 60-minute intro workshop with two weeks of unlimited entry.
Open 10am to 10pm daily, it is the most convenient Project Rock for George Town visitors, and multi-gym passes also cover the IKEA Batu Kawan and Bayana Hub gyms.
Weekend afternoons are busiest. First visit? Allow time for the safety briefing.
