Ground Up Climbing runs a climbing centre on level 2 of the Civil Service Club @ Tessensohn, about five minutes' walk from Farrer Park MRT. It has an indoor sport-climbing area with 34 lanes of top-rope and auto-belay, an outdoor lead wall for climbers with SNCS Level 2 certification, and a separate bouldering gym.
An adult single entry is S$24, with cheaper off-peak entry on Tuesday to Friday before 6pm and 5- and 10-pass packs. All climbers create a GymMaster account on their first visit. Gear can be rented, and a guided one-hour Taster session is available for newcomers.
The team also runs SNCS Level 1–3 certification, ABD verification, weekend kids' classes, fun climbs and birthday parties, so it suits both first-timers and climbers working towards lead.
Weekend afternoons are busiest. First visit? Allow time for the safety briefing.
