The Rock Shop says it was the first climbing shop on Tonsai Beach when it opened in 1997. It runs courses and guiding across Railay and Tonsai, and its guides hold UIAA-certified rescue and wilderness first-aid training. It also publishes the Pocket Guide to Rock Climbing in Krabi and Thailand, which covers 900-plus routes, and rents and sells climbing gear.
Half-day courses run daily from 9am–1pm or 2pm–6pm, with a maximum of four students per instructor. Prices are ฿1,200 for introduction, ฿1,500 intermediate, ฿1,800 advanced and ฿3,500 private. Full-day courses (from ฿2,000) add jungle trekking, a cave traverse and an abseil. There are also lead-climbing, multi-pitch, two-day and three-day options, plus private guiding. Bookings are by WhatsApp, phone or email between 9am and 7pm.
It suits climbers staying in Tonsai who want a long-established local shop for lessons, guiding or gear.
