Ho Chi Minh City has three climbing gyms on Climb Go Where, all with rope climbing as well as bouldering. Vertical District in An Khanh (former District 2) has top rope walls and auto-belays, Crescent Wall in District 7 near Phu My Hung has top rope, auto-belays and a café, and Skywalk Climbing in Thanh My Tay (Binh Thanh) adds lead climbing.
Day passes start at 280,000 VND at Vertical District and Skywalk. Vertical District and Crescent Wall run intro classes, Vertical District hires out gear, and Skywalk offers kids' sessions.
If you have not belayed before, book an intro session, as rope gyms normally check your belaying before you climb with a partner. The auto-belays at Vertical District and Crescent Wall let you climb on your own. The city is hot and humid all year, with a rainy season from around May to November, so indoor gyms are a good year-round option.
